Gary Irwin, Contractor, Licensed in Missouri and Kansas, RRP Certified
Raised in a single parent household, Gary Irwin replaced his first bathroom subfloor at age fourteen. His mother was pleased and found many other home projects from painting and wallpapering to door replacement, carpenter ant damage repair and control. Soon neighbors were calling for repairs as well.
Seeking warmer weather and the beach boys, Gary took a job for the City of Sunnyvale, CA as a project manager for the housing division, training, supervising and evaluating trainees in a construction trade program for the Housing Rehabilitation Project. At the close of the block grant, he turned down a job of building inspector in a neighboring city to hire on as a General Manager of a plumbing service company.
As GM of a 24 hour plumbing service company, he hired, trained and motivated 52 office, supervisory and service professionals. He was also the main writer of the company operations manual.
He returned to the east coast to be near family and established a remodeling business. In addition to remodeling projects, he built custom homes, sheds, repaired barns, designed and installed dressing rooms, offices and custom fixtures for factory outlet showrooms.
There he met a lovely lady, moved to Missouri and has been building and remodeling for over 26 years.
